Due to continuous company growth AN EXPERIENCED GARMENT TECHNOLOGIST is required for a company producing young ladies fashion ranges for a range of multiple stores, such as New Look, Peacocks, Select, Republic, Jane Norman, Joe Browns, Dorothy Perkins, Next, Primark and also for cash and carry customer orders. You will make sure that the garments are being produced to the required quality standard and that manufacturing is measured within tolerance.Discussing new designs with the design department and merchandisers and help decide on the best way to manufacture them. You will work out size specifications and plan how new garments will be made up by producing initial and graded size charts.You must be willing to liaise with colleagues with regards to ideas and changes that can be made to improve the garment. You will be responsible for monitoring the production of sample garments and may alter the design slightly to fit manufacturing requirements.You will also have to liaise with customers and clients and work with Far East Factories and high street stores. You will report to our Production Managers. The successful candidate must be computer literate and have a minimum of 3-5 years experience working on ladies jerseywear, knitwear, wovens and denim.Must have attention to detail and accuracy.Able to work with a methodical, no-nonsense approach.Good interpersonal skills, be a team player with an organisational manner.Self starter and self-motivated.Excellent interpersonal skills – persuasive handing of suppliers.Duties to be included – to work as a team and able to use your own initiative.Work with the designers / production team with setting up and maintaining company size charts and size specs.Working with the Production Managers and Designers to manage and control the development and approval of all stages of samples, including development, pre-production, production and salesman.

Job Description • Communication with customers on the progress of orders including sending out samples and chasing approvals from customers. • Arrange deliveries with customers including checking the financial status of the account before releasing order to be sent out. • Liaise with Production department on the progress of all orders. • Weekly meeting with the Production department to monitor and communicate the progress of all orders to the Sales BDM’s. • Upkeep and management of Order Management and Business Objects. • Updating of all Work in Progress. • Updating of Sales Order due dates. • Raise and issue picking notes for the warehouse to deliver to the customer or place in customer warehouse. • Generate and send Free Stock reports to customers as required. • Run and manage the WIP by Due Date – Stock In Warehouse report every Friday. • Run and manage WIP reports on a daily basis.
