We are an established and growing fashion supplier based in Manchester, working with high street retailers, supermarkets, and e-commerce brands across the UK. We are looking for an Import Merchandiser to manage the critical path from order placement through to delivery. You’ll work closely with our design, production, and sales teams, as well as offshore factories and logistics providers. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with fashion suppliers and will be confident managing multiple orders across various product categories.
Manage the full import merchandising process from order confirmation to delivery.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers overseas (mainly in the Far East, Turkey, India, etc.).
Monitor and maintain the critical path, ensuring key deadlines are met.
Liaise with internal teams (design, sales, technical) and external stakeholders (retail buyers, freight forwarders).
Monitor production progress and ensure all shipments are delivered on time and in full.
Coordinate lab dips, strike-offs, fabric approvals, trims, and bulk production approvals.
Resolve any issues with delivery schedules, product quality, or documentation in a timely and professional manner.
Manage shipping documentation including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
Attend customer meetings and update clients on order status and delivery schedules.

Within your role you will work closely with Designers, Merchandisers and GT team to translate design concepts into commercially viable products in line with the brand’s aesthetic and market position.
Taking initial handover sheets from design team and building clear and accurate technical specification packs for every product
Source fabrics, trims, and components that align with quality and cost goals.
Giving clear and accurate information throughout the whole process to ensure salesman samples and bulk production reflect the desired brand
quality, performance, fit and values.
Working closely with Garment Technologist on fit sessions, reviewing samples, and communicating changes to factories and suppliers.
Liaise with overseas and local suppliers, factories, and agents to track progress and resolve development issues.
Ensure all products comply with size standards, garment construction, labelling, and quality requirements.
Partner with merchandisers, designers, and production to align on pricing, and margin goals.
Managing and creating critical paths and sample timelines to ensure the development process was clearly outlined.
Drilling down into costings, guiding teams to ensure understanding across fabric usages, packaging costs and profit margins.
Taking the lead on all cost negotiations with suppliers to ensure that targets were met.
Working with the Sourcing Manager to onboard new suppliers and products and ensuring all clearly understood.
Giving advice on where savings could be made.

Our client are seeking a Garment tech with skills in pattern grading to join their team in Leicester. You will play a key part in the growth of sealing and grading styles. The ideal candidate will be technically skilled in pattern grading. You will work with other garment techs and the customers tech team with the on-site factory manager and production team in china.
