Children’s Nightwear Designer:

South Manchester

Salary £20,000 – £26,000 depending on experience.

Our client is currently looking to recruit a permanent designer in their design department at there offices in South Manchester. You will be working 40 hours a week 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday with ½ hour for lunch and 8-2pm on a Friday.

Currently working 3 days in the office 2 from home due to covid (STC).

* Working on licensed character children’s nightwear.

* Able to use adobe illustrator & photoshop.

* Comp shopping & create trend boards each season

* Work well within a team is essential.

* Be responsible for your own accounts, present and liaise with buyers.

* Work direct with factories to develop buying samples.

* The ability to work well under pressure, with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines is also essential.

* Experience with childrenswear is essential (having worked with licensed characters is a bonus)

Videographer / Video Editor

Description

We are hiring a Videographer to produce and edit all of our video content. The role offers various opportunities to work across a broad spectrum of briefs for internal, seasonal, and reactive campaigns.

We are an exciting young men’s fashion house with one brand which is already trading and two new brands that are due to launch in 2022. Candidates must have an eye for fashion content. Based in Manchester, this is a role that will report into the company directors and some of the key roles and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Work on several projects simultaneously
  • Guarantee high quality of the content
  • Understand how multiple consumers consume video content and create accordingly
  • Optimise content for each platform
  • Communicate with key stakeholders on progress regularly
  • Develop content for the e-commerce platform

About You

You’ll need to be determined, visually educated and knowledgeable culturally and within the video profession. You want work that gets spoken about at both audience and industry level.

You will need to be unfazed by a busy, fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

You’ll have a bar that is set at the top of the industry.

You will have to work with your own initiative to create conceptual ideas and bring them to life through video.

Apparel Graphic Designer

Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Apparel Graphic Designer to join our team based in Manchester. This will be menswear and accessories specifically.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 2/3 years’ previous experience working within the Highstreet and DTC Fashion Industry producing apparel Graphics. This should be supported with a relevant portfolio.

This role calls for advanced knowledge and experience in Adobe Creative suite to create original brand appropriate artworks, placement prints, repeats and Branding packs.

Responsibilities

Research

  • Researching new trends/Consumers/brand competitors with a focus on commerciality and produce/present customer trend analysis board
  • Passion of the fashion industry and staying up to date with industry trends – with a focus on commerciality

Innovation

  • Taking ideas from research to design concept by creating initial new Designs to present to the team whilst understanding the target consumer.
  • Excellent understanding of different print techniques and the ability to innovate when it comes to embellishments/trims/print combinations
  • Producing clear concise technical Graphic CAD design specifications to send onto the factories within specified time frames

Design Development

  • Advanced knowledge of hand Illustration, Photoshop and Illustrator packages in order to create original artworks, placement prints, repeats and Branding packs, appropriate to each specific brand

Relationship/Communication

  • Good communication skills with experience of liaising with factories in Turkey/China/Pakistan to give clear and concise comments

Organisation

  • Self-motivated and have good time management with the ability to adapt and work to tight deadlines.
  • Deliver results within specified time frames. Ability to react quickly to changing demands and priorities

Garment Technologist – Menswear Apparel & Accessories

Salary £25k-£33k dependant on experience

Job Description

  • Working closely with the Designers and Directors to develop our branded products which are fit for purpose.
  • Assist with measuring & sending comments on samples, this would be across menswear and accessories.
  • Assist with the checking of submissions sent from the factories including lab dips, bulk fabric and print submissions.
  • Ensuring that the products follow all safety standards and meet minimum requirements on testing.
  • Working to a critical path to ensure that the development process is smooth and that the ex-factory dates are maintained.
  • Communicating with multiple factories to ensure the production process is on track.
  • QC check production & feedback to factories.
  • General day to day organisation is required, including organising samples, archiving old samples & creating/removing submission files.
  • Support with managing log of brand returns.
  • The role is based at head office.
  • Holding fit sessions and advising on problems on fit.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, ambitious individual to join our design team as a garment technologist/product developer.

You’ll play a key role in developing the products from initial design stage all the way through to them landing online.

We are looking for an organised, self-motivator who can take ownership of their responsibilities whilst working closely with the rest of the design team.

There is also room for progression in the role.

  • Fashion and technical qualification to degree level
  • Minimum of 3 years experience within a similar role in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to travel as the role will include trips to the warehouses & overseas factory visits.
  • Confident using Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • An understanding of garment construction is key, as is a knowledge of grading and grade rules
  • Must be organised and have a proactive approach
  • Must hold a full clean UK driving license and In date passport
