Gerber Pattern Cutter / Grader

Central Manchester

Salary dependant on experience £27-£35k

  • Our client is a successful womenswear brand with concessions within UK department store. Our product range cover multi product separates including, tops, bottoms, dresses and jackets.

We currently have a role for an additional Gerber technician to due retirement. The ideal candidate will have Gerber experience, but training can be giving.

  • You will be confident, creative and a team player
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Have experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Happy to take instructions from management.
  • Work closely with Designers, GT, Pattern Cutters/Grader and sample machinist
  • Have experience on woven women’s wear multi- product with a good eye for feminine silhouette 
  • Produce accurate & tidy patterns and graded patterns
  • Creating first patterns on the Gerber system.
  • Follow critical path and prioritise work within the department.

Working in a small friendly team with other creatives! we are looking for a bubbly, hard-working and motivated individual who is passionate about digital pattern cutting.

Junior Buyer Womenswear – Multi Product

  • North West
  • Salary £28k-£32k
  • Working alongside the Design & QA team to deliver new trend products/collections in line with the critical path key dates and key marketing dates.
  • Trading the Department daily to expand on best-selling styles quickly, product developing directly with the supply base to maximise sales on the area
  • Improving the category bought in margin by re negotiating with the supply base on Best Selling styles and fabric bases that are performing.
  • Working closely with the design and merchandising teams on a daily basis to ensure the range is balanced, profitable and commercial
  • Developing strong relationships with a new supply base by working with design to place the right product at the right source.
  • Attend weekly Fit & buy meetings to ensure products are delivered on time
  • Support the Buyers Admin to ensure smooth running of the department.
  • Weekly analysis to identify missing products from the booked ranges, reporting back to the Head of Buying.
  • Regular competitor reviews to ensure pricing and range is in line with the market. Highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Building range plans with attributes with the support of head of buying to enable merchandising to analyse the range on a weekly basis.
  • Work with marketing ecommerce team to ensure shoot samples are available in line with shoot dates 

·Travel – Europe and FE as and when required by the business.

Key Experience, Skills & Abilities

A commercial fashion eye is essential.

Senior Womenswear Buyer – Multi Product

Salary £35-£50k

The role involves

  • Working alongside the Design & QA team to deliver new trend products/collections in line with the critical path key dates and key marketing dates.
  • Trading the Department daily to expand on best-selling styles quickly, highlighting product and category potential growth and risk areas to the Head of Buying
  • Product developing directly with the supply base to maximise sales on the area
  • Identifying categories and product areas that require additional suppliers or where suppliers are not performing 
  • Improving the category bought in margin by re negotiating with the supply base.   Constantly review and monitor ways to grow the margin, from fabric booking to new category opportunities.  

  • Building the range using the range plans attributing and ensuring the designers have the correct information to create/design the ranges
  • Working closely with the design and merchandising teams on a daily basis to ensure the range is balanced, profitable and commercial, highlighting to head of buying risks to sales
  • Developing strong relationships with a new supply base by working with design to place the right product at the right source.
  • Attend weekly Fit & buy meetings to ensure products are delivered on time
  • Support the Junior members of the buying team to hit deadlines and develop their buying skills
  • Weekly analysis to identify missing products from the booked ranges, reporting back to the Head of Buying.

Job Spec

Negotiate prices with customers and factories where needed

Chase samples Lab dips

Confirm receipt of customer orders, creating an achievable critical path to ensure the orders are dealt with efficiently to meet customer requirements

Ensure lab dips are submitted and approved within the scheduled CP dates

Work to your CP and keep the customer fully aware of the progress of their orders and delivery schedule

Day to day contact with the factories in the Far East and customers

Review orders received and liaise with merchandise team

Shoot Production Manager

Ecommerce Ladieswear Fashion

Salary dependant on experience

This is what you’ll do:

Source and manage all bookings for all ecommerce, creative marketing, and television shoots.  Including Production, photographers, models and hair & makeup artists. Negotiate rates and contracts with all agencies.

Ensuring models fit brand guidelines.

Building and maintaining relationships with model agencies in UK, Europe and worldwide. 

Identify and booking new locations that would work for all TV and creative marketing shoots 

Working with the finance director and marketing director to set and own the shoot budgets.

Managing production of shoots in in UK and abroad shoot ( when safely able) ; location management, permits, travel schedule, logistics, casting, budget, equipment, and clothing as well planning and managing ecommerce shoots on site. 

Working with Marketing Director to plan and own the shoot calendar

Create and maintain a constant pipeline of talent and locations 

Monitoring model conversion rates and reporting back to Marketing Director. 

Research flight options, timings, costs and book all travel

Be the production teams main contact on set 

Be prepared to muck in with the rest of the team on shoots – unpack suitcases, steam clothes, organise KIT for day.
