Experienced Dress Buyer

Upto 50K depending upon experience

North West Region

An exciting opportunity for a Dress Buyer to join a premium quality fashion brand which has achieved an rapid rate of growth making this position an exciting and dynamic role.

We have achieved huge growth over the last 2 years driven by the Dress department.  This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Buyer to join a fast paced fashion team and help take the dress department to the next level.

The ideal candidate must have fast fashion ecommerce buying experience and highly experienced in product development and range planning! ideally have Woven and Jersey experience.

The role involves

  • Working closely with the Dress Designer & QA team to deliver new weekly trend products in line with the critical path key dates and key marketing dates.
  • Trading the Department daily to expand on best-selling styles quickly, 
  • Drive the moving on of best sellers so they are seasonally appropriate. 
  • Product develop direct with the supply base to maximise dress sales.
  • Manage the style numbers & Open to buy on a weekly basis reporting into Head of Buying 
  • Improving the category bought in margin by re negotiating with the supply base on Best Selling styles and fabric bases that are performing.
  • Developing strong relationships with a new supply base by working with design to place the right product at the right source.
  • Attend weekly Fit & buy meetings to ensure products are delivered on time.
  • Support the Buyers Admin to ensure smooth running of the department.
  • Weekly analysis to identify missing products from the booked ranges, reporting back to the Head of Buying.
  • Regular competitor reviews to ensure pricing and range is in line with the market. Highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Manage the dress development & Dress Range plans to ensure they are up to date for merchandising to work from.

·Travel – Europe and FE as and when required by the business.

Key Experience, Skills & Abilities

A commercial fashion eye is essential.

Experience in trading a department to maximise sales 

The ability to problem solve under pressure in a fun fast paced environment.

Enjoys change, open to new ways of working.

Identifies new ways of working that fit the business as it continues to grow.

Able to take responsibility and make decisions.

Strong communication with all departments and levels is imperative.

Effective time management and the ability to prioritise.

THE ROLE:

To select brands and plan and develop product ranges that deliver against the brand profile and the customer needs. Optimise sales opportunities identified though trading and range planning and deliver a product development process that ensures the brand are first and fast with relevant emerging trends. Reporting to the senior management team, this role will work cross functionally with merchandising and the technical team to contribute to product strategy 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Creates buying plans for departments while ensuring profitability by maintaining and building customer focused category lines 

Work with merchandising to develop range plans that maximise sales opportunities and lessons learnt

Constantly review social media, catwalk and competitor set to identify new product opportunities.


Develop product briefs that maximise best sellers and deliver against emerging trends and work with the technical team re samples and fit.

Manage the product critical path identifying priorities and ensuring samples are delivered against key deadlines

Weekly and monthly trading performance, identifying opportunities to drive sales growth and promotion.

·Maximise best sellers and identify underperformance and propose actions to improve sell through.

Present proposed new and repeat product buys to directors to achieve sign off

Monitor and analyse returns with technical team to identify lessons learnt and risk to profit.

Management of the buy plan ensuring product details are accurate and imagery is captured to allow product set up.

Support the creative team with product schedules 

Work closely with the social media outreach team to achieve features for new product ranges and lines supported with stock

· Ensure the development of process and systems is continuous to maximise effectiveness and efficiency.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Be either an established Buyer or an experienced Assistant Buyer ready for the next challenge

A lover of fashion Sportswear and have a talent for product development and a creative eye.

Passionate and driven with the ability to thrive in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.

Ability to stay calm under pressure and motivate a team through challenging periods of change.

Strong knowledge of competition’s product offer, pricing strategy and trading activity.

We are working on an exciting opportunity to work for this successful and established fashion supplier as a Senior Account Manager. Working on ladieswear high street and online account UK and Europe.

Responsibilities of the Senior Account Manager:

Managing their own key account ensuring that the customers needs are met

Selling and presenting ranges.

Communicating back to the team, negotiating prices and liaising with the overseas factories. 

Working closely with the directors in business development.

The Senior Account Manager must have experience working with key accounts and will have previous experience of working with ladies fashion garments. Experience of the supplier side is essential and Far Eastern.

Senior Import Merchandiser

Senior Import Merchandiser

Salary range £27k- £35k

Manchester

1. Liasing daily with our suppliers and customers. Experience with liasing with the Far East, Bangladesh, India is essential.

2. Raising purchase orders, customer packaging / label orders (care labels, brand labels, price labelling) and dispatching to our suppliers 

3. Monitoring and maintaining the critical path.
An in depth knowledge of the critical path is essential. The merchandiser will be responsible for chasing in lab dips, print strike offs, bulk fabric and sample submissions ( sealer samples /pre-production samples / production samples / press samples)

4. Liasing with our shipping and sales / deliveries department, ensuring that goods arrive are processed and are delivered on time

5. Attending customer meetings both at our head office in Manchester and also our London office. Full meeting follow up will be required, from quoting prices to arranging development samples.

6. Working closely with the QC and design teams.

7. The product area will be mens multi product. Customers will include both those from the high street and online

8. You as the experienced Import Merchandiser will provide team leadership, problem solving and guidance for junior merchandisers of the team.


This is a new position to the business and we are looking for a strong individual to join the business who has excellent knowledge of the industry. Must be a team player and most importantly can provide training, guidance and advice for the more junior members of the team.
