Our client is a leading fashion brand known for its innovative designs and commitment to quality. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry Level Garment Technologist. Job Description:

As an Entry Level Garment Technologist, you will assist in the development and production of garments, ensuring that they meet the company’s quality standards and specifications. You will work closely with the design, production, and senior garment technologists to bring new designs from concept to finished product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sample Development: Assist in creating and reviewing garment samples, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Technical Specifications: Help in the preparation and maintenance of detailed technical specifications and measurement charts for garments.
  • Fit Sessions: Participate in fit sessions to evaluate the fit, drape, and construction of garments. Provide feedback and suggest improvements.
  • Fabric and Trim Selection: Collaborate with the design team to select appropriate fabrics and trims, considering functionality, cost, and quality.
  • Quality Control: Assist in the inspection of incoming samples and production batches, identifying any defects or deviations from the approved specifications.
  • Vendor Communication: Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve technical issues and ensure timely delivery of samples and production orders.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all technical data, sample approvals, and production specifications.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, new fabrics, and construction techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A degree or diploma in fashion technology, garment technology, textile technology, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and fabric properties. Proficiency in using CAD software is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for quality and accuracy.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical team members.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues.

Experience:

  • Internships/Placement: Previous internships or placement experience in garment technology / product development or a related field is advantageous.

Job Description: We are seeking a  Garment Technologist to join our dynamic team! you will have minimum 2 years experience.  As a Garment Technologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, fit, and construction of our garments across various product lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fit sessions and provide feedback on garment fit and construction.
  • Collaborate closely with design, production to ensure garments meet brand standards and customer expectations.

Junior Merchandiser Admin Assistant

Based Manchester City Centre, Deansgate (office based)

Salary up to £22k DOE, full time

Permanent position

The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Merchandise Admin Assistant to join our Men’s Team. This is a busy role and would suit someone looking to develop within a dynamic and growing wholesale clothing company. This is an entry level role and the candidate will develop and grow within our existing experience merchandising team. Products within this section include outerwear, denim, shorts and footwear.

Main Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Raising Internal purchase orders for both our inhouse stock ranges, and customer orders on our data base.
  • Keeping the purchase orders up-to-date with any date , price and style changes and ensuring that the factory have these details.
  • Ordering packaging / barcode stickers from nominated label suppliers (care labels, brand labels, price labelling) and dispatching to our suppliers in the Far East.
  • Critical Path Management – Assisting the merchandiser with chasing in any lab dips, print strike offs, bulk fabric and sample submissions ( sealer samples /pre-production samples / production samples / press samples)
  • Approving + checking barcode layouts, and also any packing lists prior to the goods shipping
  • Co-ordinating with our photography team, ensuring that they have garments for their photoshoots and that our images are up-to-date for the sales team and website.
  • Receiving and logging in any new development samples on our data base.

Import Merchandiser

Manchester Central

Office based role (No Hybrid)

Salary dependant on experience £30k-£34k

Our client is seeking an Import Merchandiser to join there busy merchandising team! you will be proactive and highly organised you will thrive on the challenge of being part of a busy, fast moving department, working in closely with Account Managers, Designers and Garment Technologists as well as with factories in the Far East.

  • Effective management of the critical in path in order to ensure timely deliveries of placed orders

  • Lab dip, strike off and size spec approvals

  • Price negotiations with factories

  • Daily liaison with off-shore sources, predominantly in the Far East

  • Regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, keeping them updated from order placement through to bulk production and final delivery

  • Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills are essential

  • You will be an Import Merchandiser with approx 3 years plus UK experience and have a background in supply of fashion.
